Movies, popular culture and social media often romanticize and set ideas of what the holidays are supposed to look like. When you’re feeling pressure to cook the perfect meal, decorate a beautiful holiday home or spend enough money to get a gift, you often set yourself up for increased stress and anxiety. You might also have a home where tension and difficult family relationships, paint anything but a perfect holiday picture. Take it all in pace and enjoy what matters.

We’ve always been taught, and on many levels known, that the world is better when we focus our time and energy on giving to others. But as news of global struggles and conflicts reach us through our phones every hour of every day, our desire to help has only grown. And while it may seem overwhelming at times to think that our individual efforts can make a difference, know this: they can.
